Mildred Irene Harper Wood 1929 ~ 2010 Mildred Irene Harper Wood, (Millie) died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Our little Southern belle was born November 21, 1929 in Albertson North Carolina, the daughter of Vara Irene Boyette and Ira Grissom Harper, both deceased. Her siblings are Ivey Gilbert (Nora) Harper, Milo Warren (Mildred) Harper, Jerald Daniel (Virginia) Harper, Caroll James (Jean) Harper, Catherine Marie (Calvin) Kirby and Edna Elizabeth (Newell) Sholar (deceased). She married Gerald David Wood (deceased) on Sept 26, 1952 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had six children, Karren Anne (Michael) Poulsen, Teresa Rose Swensen, David Brent (Corissa) Wood, Michael Dean (Cammie) Wood, Daniel Dee (Donnie Sue) Wood and Annette Cherie Wood. She had 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and lots of extra grandchildren. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. She served a mission and held various positions in the church throughout her life. She loved the little birds. She spoke with love and admiration for her parents. We will all miss this sweet and loving woman. She was “like no other” and was a mother to all.
