State of N. Carolina Currituck County November Term 1801
At a court of Pleas and quarter Sessions begun & held for the County of Currituck at the Courthouse in Said County on the last Monday November it being the 30th day of November 1801 and Continued by Adjournments Till Saturday the 5th day of December Anno Dom 1801
Present: Willis Etheridge, Andrew Bates, Thomas Tillitt, William Tatum, Joseph Ferebee Esquires

Ordered that Mercer Jarvis orphan of Maxm. Jarvis decd. be Bound an apprentice to James Whitehurst to learn the art of shoemaking he being of twelve years of age.

Ordered that Samuel Ferebee, Solomon Alcock, Samuel Dozier, Dennis Dauge or any three of them audite and settle the accounts of William Simmons Admr. of James Bank Decd….

Ordered that Samuel Ferebee, Solomon Alcock, Samuel Dozier & Dennis Dauge…audite and Settle the Accounts of William Simmons Exr. of Edith Bell Decd. …

Ordered that Jeremiah Perkins have the right of Admr. with the will Enexed of Joseph Ballance Decd. at the same time the said Administrator appeared in Court and Give bond with Solomon Alcock and James Cowel securities in the sum of three hundred pounds …

Ordered that Peter Ballentine, John Cox, Thomas Cox Senr., James Powers …audit and settle the accounts of Robert Mcparson Exr. of the last will and Testament of Daniel Ballance decd….

Ordered that John Northern Esquire, Joseph Ballentine, George Forker and Lewis Cox…audit and settle the accounts of Dolley Williamson Admx. of the Estate of James Williamson decd. and Make Return to Next Court.

Ordered that John Northern Esquire, Joseph Ballentine, George Forker and Lewis Cox lay off set apart and allott unto Dolley Williamson Widdow of James Williamson decd. so much of the Stock, Crop and Provisions of James Williamson decd. as may be sufficient for the maintainance of said widdow and family for one year from the death of her husband.

Ordered that John Cox renew his Constables bond for the ensueing year…bond with James Powers and Davis Fancher securities in the sum of Two hundred & fifty pounds…

Ordered that the administrator of the Estate of Nancey Sanderson decd. sell all the negroes belonging to the Estate of the said decd. in order for a division among her lawfull heirs and make return to Next Court.

Ordered that Nancy Dailey be allowed the sum of Sixteen Pounds to be paid in equally quarterly payments for the Maintainance of a bastard Child begotten on her body by William Halstead Blacksmith to Commence from the birth of the Child.

Ordered that William Slaughter orphan of William Slaughter decd. formerly Bound to James Bates be bound an apprentice to John Poyner farmer he being upwards of fourteen years of age and said Poyner to give said orphan such schooling as the Law directs.

Ordered that John Hill and Malachi Read be appointed to adjudge what rent Samuel Miller shall pay for the Plantation formerly Occupied or belonging to Zadock Jones decd. that he obtained by his wife Rebeca Miller decd. to be paid to the surviving heirs of said Zadock Jones decd.
