- There is some confusion on James Aycock. Some records have him listed as James “Solomon”. There is another son named Solomon. The son of James is James S. Aycock who md 2) Beling (Lindy) Howell (mentioned in Lindy’s father’s will (Benjamin Howell) in Wayne Co. 12 Nov 1828. Will for James S and wife Belinda, Wayne Co., 1837 with 4 children. 1850 Census has Balinda Aycock 45 yrs with James 21, farmer and Rezziah, 18, 1500 Real Estate value. James (son of James dies in 1836 (according to Gerry Hill)
- Gerry Hill lists eleven children born to James and his first and second wife. She has James md 2) 29 Mar 1808 Johnston Co, NC to Charity Wilkinson, Johnston Co., NC marriage records
- Wayne Co. Wills Vol. 6 p. 471, 22 July 1833 Wm Thompson lays off to Charity Aycock, widow of James Aycock, dec’d her dower on little branch 141 acres.
