Robert Stephens and his wife Elizabeth were Irish Quakers. They, with their children, Isaac, Robert, James, Henry, Sarah and Mary migrated from Ireland to Gloucester County, New Jersey about 1730.
Sarah Stephens, of Newton Township, Gloucester County, New Jerysey married 20th 10th month 1733, Thomas Edgerson at Haddonfield Friends Meeting. She died before 1738. Thomas and Sarah (Stephens) Edgerton had one son, Thomas Edgerson, Jr.
