Greeting in our Lord god everlasting Know ye. that we the sd. Lords and absolute proprietors according to our great deed of grant bearing date the first day of May Ano. Dm. 1668 given to our County of Albemarle under our hands and great Seal of sd. Province Doe hereby give and grant unto James Morgan of our sd. County Planter a tract of land containing three hundred acres lying on Vosses Creeke in Pequimons precinct at a White Oake by the Pocoson of the sd. Creeke thence South East one hundred pole to a gum Wm. Vos’s corner tree thenc East six degrs.  South a hundred and sixty pole to an Hiccory a corner tree between the sd. Vos and Mr. Ffrancis Toms then East fifteen degrs. South seventy four pole to a white oake Seplin then North East a hundred and fifty pole to a white oake, then West twenty degrs. North three hundred and twenty poles to a Cypres by the sd. creeke then downe the creek and pocoson of the creeke to the first station.  The sd. land being due to the sd. James Morgan for the transportation of Six Psons into this County whose names are upon Record under this Patent To have and to hold the sd. land with all rights and previliges of hunting hawking fishing fowling with all woods waters and rivers with. all profitts —odities and heriditants. to the same belonging or apPtaining except one halfe of all Gold and Silver mines unto him the sd. James Morgan his heire and assignes for ever in as full and ample maner to all intents and purposes as by the sd. Deed is purposed granted or intended Yeilding and paying unto us our heires and successors yearly every twenty ningth day of September the fee rent of one Shil. for every fifty acres hereby granted to be holden of us our heires and successors in ffree and comon soccage Provided that if the sd. James Morgan doe not seat or plant or cause to be seated or planted theron within three yeares after the date hereof then this Patent to be void otherwise to be of full force  Given under the Seal of our sd. County the twenty second day of May Ano. Dm. 1694.  Witnes our trusty and Welbeloved Philip Ludwell Esqr. Governor and Capt.
