p. 50 (p. 7) Dorcas Stanley  (“The many articles I have seen on Elisha Uzzell have him married to Dorcas Stanley. There is a tombstone at Walnut Creek in Wayne County for them with Elisha Uzzell 1736-1813 and his wife Dorcas Stanley Uzzell and others. I can not dispute that he may have been married to a Dorcas Stanley, although she is said to be a daughter of Major Stan(d)ley and even though I have searched records I can not find a Major Stan(d)ley, and I do not find records to prove Elisha’s marriage to Dorcas. One Dorcas Stanley did marry Jacob Herring, Jr.  One fact about the tombstone I know is incorrect is that of Elisha’s death date.

p. 66 (p.8) Dorcas Stanley married Jacob Herring Jr. 1790-1849 Wayne County

p. 70 (p.12) Moses Stanley married Sally West 1770’s -1811 Wayne County
