Persuant to an order from the county Court of Wayne at February tenth 1823. The undersigned met at the house of Ms(?) Anne Herring for the purpose of valuing that part of the property of Jacob Herring Junr which he is entitled to receive at his coming of age agreable(?) to his Father’s will ?

One negroe boy by the name of Right which we value at four hundred dollars } $400.
One Horse Bridle Saddle which we value at forty eight dollars } $48.
One feather bed & furniture which we value at twenty eight dollars } $28.
Total $476.

To the sheriff of Wayne County greeting:  We command you that of the goods and Chattels, Lands and Tenements of Jacob Herring Exec of Jacob Herring deed.  You cause to be made the sum of Elev 40/100 dollars which lately in our Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, held for the County of Wayne, Rachel Thomson his recovered against the said executor for costs in that behalf expended, whereof the said executor is and have you the said monies before our said Court at Goldsborough, on the third Monday of next, then and there to render the said debt, damages,and costs, as aforesaid.  Herein fail not, and have you then and there this Writ.
