Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 4 TB chili powder
  • 1 TB cumin
  • 1 TB cocoa
  • 2 1# cans tomatoes
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 10 1/2 oz can beef broth
  • 1 large can kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Brown beef and onions.

  2. Add chili, cumin and cocao.

  3. Blend until beef is coated.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hrs.

  5. Add water to maintain soupy consistency.

  6. Prepare day in advance. Chill.

  7. Remove fat. Reheat slowly to simmer.

  8. Add beans. Warm through.
