Celery Stuffing Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh onion
  • 1/3 cup melted margarine/butter
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 TB water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • few grains pepper
  • 3 cups day-old bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Saute celery and onion in butter in large skillet until tender.

  2. Mix water, salt and pepper with beaten egg.

  3. Combine celery mixture, egg mixture and bread crumbs.

  4. Toss lightly.

  5. Using a 1/4 cup measure, shape into balls.

  6. Place in paper baking cups set in muffin tins.

  7. Bake for 20 min or until lightly browned at 375 degrees
