Gnocchi

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsp butter
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 TB butter
  • 2-4 TB Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat milk to scalding.

  2. Sprinkle cornmeal in, stirring constantly for abt 5 min or until thick.

  3. Remove from heat, stir in 1 1/2 tsp butter, egg and salt.

  4. Beat until smooth.

  5. Spread in greased casserole.

  6. Refrigerate 2-3 hours.

  7. Cut mixture in 8 circles.

  8. Dot with butter and spread cheese.

  9. Bake 10-12 minutes in 425 degree oven.

  10. Broil until golden brown.
