Peanut Brittle

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup white syrup
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 8-12 oz spanish salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Cook sugar, syrup and water to 280 degrees F or soft crack stage.

  2. Add peanuts.

  3. Cook until mixture reaches hard crack stage or 300 degrees F.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Add vanilla and soda.

  6. Pour on greased cooky sheet .

  7. When cool, break in pieces with knife handle.
