In the name of God Amen, I John Pike of the State of North Carolina, Pasquotank County considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and perfect memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament. In manner and form following (that is to say). 
First I give and bequeath unto my son Jesse Pike the part of my land and plantation where he now lives up to the double ditches near a Ceder Tree and so running a Westly course and straight direction with the aforesaid double ditch to Benjamin Pritchard Junr line and from the said ditch Eastly to Fletchers line I give and bequeath unto my said son Jesse Pike one (?) and lamb and one third part of my geese.
I give and bequeath unto my son John Pike the part of land and plantation where I now live with the houses and building thereon binding on my so Jesse line and up to the line ditch eastly to Fletchers line Westly to the main road. I further give unto my son John Pike one ewe and one lamb and one third of my geese.
