Joseph Nicholson and his wife it is lik shall pass to Ingland when opportunity is. (1660)

Joseph Nicholson is probably the Joseph who, with his wife, Jame, is mentioned in the records of the selectment of Salem under date of April 3, 1660 (volume II, page 6):

Jn Southwick brought into this towne Joseph Nicholson Companion a woman great with Child; about the 18 day of March last past, for wh Desord he is to pay twenty shillings

p. 247  . . . at the house of Nicholas Phelps, during the time of the service of the regular church.  Mr. Phelps lived near Phelps’ Crossing, about five miles from Salem town . . .
