No. 44  Know all men by these presents that I John Belman of the County of Albermarle in the Province of Carolina do for me my heirs, Executors etc. freely, fully & Irrevocably bargain sell and Assign over to Richard Byar to him, his heirs or assigns all my Houses, clear Gound & other Labour done upon my Land lying in tanks Creek in Perquimans River all my right of the same lying on the North Side of the said Perquimans River (Excepting to myself all Nursery trees, both Peach trees adn Apple trees, with all other such trees as are not planted out at Standing Distance and as much Timber as will make four hundred clapboards and to have all or that part of the Timber as already fallen upon the said ground and to have liberty to carry it off the Land when I please) and to the performance of the Same, I have set my hand and Seal this 25th day of the 8th month, called October 1687.
