This was the first edition commisioned after the pioneers moved to Utah. Unable to print in Utah until the 1870’s, this edition was commisioned to be printed in England in 1849 by Orson Pratt who also edited the script. In text, it differs from the earlier and modern editions in two significant verses. It is also the last edition to be printed before those that were numbered in chapters and verses. Only 5000 were printed.
