This indenture made the first day in May in the year of our Lord 1794 between John Singleton of the State of SC and County of ? Planter of the one part and Daniel Sparrow of the State and County aforsaid planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Singleton for and in consideration of there sum of 20 lbs current money of said State to him in hand paid by the said Daniel Sparrow before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt where of the said John Singleton doth here by acknowledge and himself there with fully satisfied Contented and paid there fore said John Singleton has granted and sold un to the said Daniel Sparrow his heirs ? Forever all that plantation tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid on the east branch of Black River and containing 100 acres and being part of a tract of land granted to Robert Williams the 2nd day of April 1775 and 40 acres laying on the south side of said 100 acres adjourning the same which was granted to William Dawpeer the first day of November in the year 1787 together with all the buildings orchards fences lakes ponds fishing ? Water and water courses and every part and parcel ? Fee simple as also the reservoir and reservoirs remainder and remainders rents issues and profits of the same and all the estate rights title interest claims demands of him the said John Singleton to the said plantation tract or parcel of land claiming or belonging to the said John Singleton…. Except the public tax and quit rents to commend from the date here of and further the said John Singleton do covenant and agree to and with the said Daniel Sparrow and his heirs that will on demand make good all other deeds leases or writing as may by the learned in law think requisite or necessary …. Sumter District Know all men by these presents that I Daniel Sparrow of the State and District aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of 150 Spanish milled dollars to me in hand paid by Beggars Singleton of the Sate and District of aforesaid hath granted bargained sold and released and by these presents due grant bargain sell and release unto the said Beggars Singleton a certain tract or parcel of land containing 84 acres on the east branch of Black River it being part of a tract of land granted to Robert Williams the 2 day of April 1778 also 40 acres ajoining said tract of land lying on the south side of the said 100 acres
