May it be remembered that I Thomas Aycock of the state of North Carolina & County of Wayne being sick but of perfect mind and memory make and ordain this my last will & testament as follows (fir?)st it is my will and desire that my body be buried in a decent Christian like manner & that all my past debts be paid before my property be distributed and now I come to dispose of the rest of my worldly Estate which it hath pleased God to bestow me with In the manner and form as follows VF? st I give and Bequeath to my wife Sarah Aycock the whole & sole of my Estate to she & her heirs for ever. Also I constitute and appoint my wife Sarah Aycock my whole & sole Exetor to this my last will and testament line approx I have hereunto set my hand and allix my seal In presence of my this the 26th day of August 1807

N 7 of the upper totr beginning of Nathan Cobb at two white oaks on the bank of Contentnea bruh grubs (?). W 46 pole to a dead pine then N 128 pole to a water oak on the Impossible Branch, then down the run of said branch as it meander to Contentnea Creek, then down the rune of said creek as its menders to the first station containing seventy acres also the said Nathan Cobb is to pay to David Cobb the sum of one hundred & thirteen dollars and seventy three cents to make his lot equal also the said Nathan Cobb is to pay to Stephen Cobb the sum of seventy seven dollars & seventy nine cents to make his lot equal No. 4 of the lower lots beginning for Nathan Cobb at a water oak on the bank of Contentnea Creek & runs S 427 pole to a Blackjack on the west sid of the road then W 50 pole to a black then N 360 pole to a pine then N 35 E 82 pole to a water oak on the Bank of the creek then down the rune of the creek as it meanere to the first station, Containing one hundred & twenty sire acres & a half. Then abov & sum to be paid within twelve months from the date of this return. & C. No 2 of the upper lots begsse. We the under asigners conceiving and knowing that the bridge built by Stephen Sasser Esqr across Little River in said county to be of Great advantage & benefit to the inhabitants of said county in crassing said Rive, and also will be of considerable advantage to the public, prays your honours to grant your petitioners roads to & from said bridge as will make it more advantageous to the public & the inhabitants, your petitioners humbley prays your honours to grant them a road, to leave the old road that crosses raifords bridge at or near the end of Richard Brunts Lane on Buck swamp and to go the nearest course to the Bridge Clear of Cultivated Lands and from thence, into the Little River Road Colled near Robert Crawford’s and we also pray your hounours to grant us a road front he bridge the nearest course to crows at Basses Terry an nuice River and your petitioners will be wes in duty bound. &C. 1 February 1809

In obedience to an order of Court to us divided may term 1810 to settle and divide the remainder part of the Estate of Stephen Cobb decsd with Stephen Cobb after examining the accounts of sale we find it to amount to seven hundred and thirty four pounds sixteen shillings and seven pence and divided into ten parts each heirs part is seventy three pounds nine shillings and seven pence three farthings due each heir then dividing James Cobb deceased part into five parts each heirs part is fourteen pounds thirteen shillings and eleven pence given under our hands 26th May 1810

Be it remembered this Thirtieth day of the seventh month one thousand eight hundred and seven, that I Samuel Colyar being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows,
I turn(?), I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Colyar the Plantation whereon I now live with the lands belonging thereto I also give him one bed and furniture
I, turn(?), I give and bequeath to my Daughter Miriam Hale the old plantation I bought of John Grace with all the lands that lies on the upper side of the Hide Branch, I turn(?), and bequeath unto my son Samuel Colyar all my lands that I have below the said Hide Branch.
I turn(?), I give and bequeath unto Sarah Colyar my grand daughter one bed and Furniture also I give to my grand daughter Elizabeth Hall one bed and furniture and the chaies of beds and furniture and the remaining part of my Estate I desire to be Equally divided between all my children Zachariah James Miriam John Samuel & Joseph, my wiring apparels I desire my son Zachariah to have one half and the other half to be equally divided between all the rest of my sons –Lastly I nominate & appoint Nathan Pike and my son Samuel Colyar Executors to this my last will and testament Revoking and disannuling all wills heretofore made by me, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testaments in witness whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal ———-
